Description:

We’re looking for a Junior Backend Developer to help us build reliable, scalable, and efficient server-side solutions. You’ll work with experienced developers to build backend infrastructure that ensures smooth communication between servers, databases, and clients. You’ll assist in writing clean and well-documented code using backend technologies such as Node. You’ll write clean, maintainable code using programming languages like Node. You’ll help maintain and optimize databases, ensuring data is stored securely and queries run efficiently. You’ll be responsible for helping design and implement APIs that allow communication between the backend and frontend systems. You’ll assist in identifying and solving performance bottlenecks, optimizing code to improve speed and reduce server load. You’ll learn best practices for writing secure, maintainable, and testable backend code. You’ll collaborate with other developers, participating in code reviews and pair programming to improve your skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Write code that not only works, but also teaches you something new—junior is just a title, your growth is the real goal.
• Stay up to date with new backend tools, frameworks, and best practices to sharpen your skills over time.
• Break down tasks into manageable chunks and track progress using tools like Jira, Trello, or Notion.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code that connects frontend requests to backend logic reliably and securely.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining dev environments, local servers, and containerized systems like Docker.

Preferred:

• Excited about solving real-world problems using server-side logic and data structures.
• Understands the basics of error handling, logging, and debugging backend services.
• Understands the concept of middleware, request/response lifecycle, and HTTP status codes.
• Curious about performance, scalability, and how to write efficient queries or endpoints.
• Proficient in at least one backend language such as Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP.
