Description:

We’re welcoming aspiring musicians and composers to join us as trainees and learn how to turn raw musical ideas into polished productions. You’ll help brainstorm and build original tracks for podcasts, indie games, video content, and more. We’ll teach you how to structure your compositions for mood, pacing, and storytelling impact. We’ll guide you through the process of scoring scenes, writing loops, and arranging music for various emotional beats. Expect to work with both real and virtual instruments — whichever tools bring your sound to life. You’ll sit in on sound reviews, understand client briefs, and adapt music to fit different tones and timings. We’ll guide you in writing musical themes, experimenting with harmonies, and balancing instrumentation. You’ll learn how to keep compositions tight, emotionally rich, and sonically balanced. You’ll learn how to organize stems, version files properly, and deliver tracks that are easy to work with downstream.

Basic Qualifications:

• Play instruments or conduct live sessions to bring your compositions to life.
• Deliver final files in required formats and naming conventions without delay.
• Edit, mix, and master tracks so they’re production-ready and polished.
• Record high-quality audio using DAWs and equipment suited to the genre and setting.
• Maintain an organized library of samples, drafts, and project files for future use.

Preferred:

• Experience composing original pieces for film, games, advertising, or live performance.
• Pays attention to emotional tone, pacing, and atmosphere in musical storytelling.
• Background or strong passion in music composition, performance, sound design, or film scoring.
• Familiar with recording equipment, audio interfaces, and basic mixing and mastering processes.
• Enjoys writing both standalone compositions and music that supports narratives or visual content.

You’ll explore styles like ambient, electronic, cinematic, acoustic, and more to widen your range. Expect to get feedback on your pieces and improve your timing, transitions, and dynamics. We’ll also explore how to use dynamics — both volume and emotion — to give your music shape and impact. You’ll contribute to real-world projects and see your music live in products or videos used by real audiences. By the end of your time with us, you’ll have several completed works, plus the experience of scoring for real-world scenarios.
