Description:

We are seeking a Medical Registrar Intern who is motivated to gain structured administrative experience within a professional healthcare environment. You’ll be one of the first smiles patients see, greeting them with kindness and helping ease any nerves or confusion about their visit. You’ll assist with inputting new patient details into the system, verifying contact and insurance information with precision. You will be trained to manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and referrals using approved scheduling platforms. You’ll help answer phones, book consultations, and coordinate with doctors and nurses to manage daily schedules. You will support the coordination of communication between patients, departments, and medical personnel. You’ll answer incoming calls and emails — calmly helping with appointment questions, directions, and reassurance when needed. You’ll learn to navigate hospital systems and software, including booking platforms and electronic medical records (EMR). You will assist in monitoring admission logs, maintaining filing systems, and generating basic daily reports.

Basic Qualifications:

• Take the lead in managing acutely ill or deteriorating patients, including initiating resuscitation protocols.
• Work closely with consultants, junior doctors, and nursing staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Review investigation results daily and update management plans accordingly.
• Attend educational sessions, case reviews, or grand rounds to support continuous learning.
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases to senior clinicians while maintaining responsibility for ongoing care.

Preferred:

• Able to handle emotionally intense situations such as end-of-life care with professionalism and empathy.
• Wants to grow into roles like Consultant, Specialist Physician, or Clinical Lead.
• Willing to adapt to department needs, rotating specialties, or new care models as part of training.
• Willing to teach, mentor, and provide feedback to medical students and junior staff.
• Comfortable interpreting diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results to guide clinical decisions.
