Description:
We’re on the lookout for a Freelance Blog Writer who doesn’t just write — you *craft* content that hooks, holds, and delivers value. You’re someone who can take a topic (even a boring one) and turn it into something engaging, useful, and maybe even a little fun. From SEO-optimized articles to in-depth editorial pieces, you can shift tones, adapt styles, and still maintain a clear, engaging voice throughout. In this role, you’ll pitch, research, and write blog posts that inform, entertain, and drive traffic — whether it's thought leadership, product tutorials, SEO-driven how-tos, or industry roundups. You’re comfortable writing for different tones — from casual and witty to formal and authoritative — and can adjust your voice to suit the brand or audience. You’re comfortable juggling multiple assignments and delivering clean drafts on time — no ghosting, no excuses. You’ll be responsible for turning in clean, SEO-friendly copy on deadline, with internal links, smart formatting, and a strong sense of flow.
Basic Qualifications:
- Adapt existing content into updated versions, listicles, or deep-dives without sounding repetitive.
- Edit your own work with a critical eye—grammar, flow, structure, and accuracy should all be tight before submission.
- Manage multiple assignments at once and communicate proactively if delays or blockers arise.
- Join occasional team calls or async discussions to align with editors, marketers, or SEO leads.
- Contribute to content calendars, helping plan topics that align with launches, seasons, or events.
Preferred:
- Comfortable using Google Docs or CMS platforms like WordPress or Ghost.
- Currently studying or has background in journalism, communications, or marketing.
- Can research unfamiliar topics and write confidently based on trusted sources.
- Open to writing across industries such as tech, wellness, finance, or lifestyle.
- Willing to revise drafts and collaborate with editors or content managers.
Benefits:
- Content calendars are collaborative — your ideas get greenlit.
- You’re not ghostwriting for bots — you're writing for humans.
- You'll be part of a community of writers, not a lonely Google Doc island.
- We celebrate great intros, clever transitions, and endings that stick.
- Quick, reliable payments — because freelancers shouldn’t have to chase invoices.
You understand that good content isn’t just well-written — it’s purposeful. You’re self-motivated, flexible with feedback, and good at managing your own calendar. You can adapt your tone for different brands and audiences, and you're comfortable working in Google Docs, Notion, or wherever we’re building our editorial calendar. Bonus points if you’ve got a basic grasp of SEO or have written for startups, SaaS, or lifestyle brands. We’re building long-term relationships with writers who consistently deliver value — not just words. If you're passionate about storytelling, good at turning vague prompts into real substance, and always striving to make your next piece better than the last, we’d love to work with you. Let’s create blog content that informs, inspires, and actually gets read.
