Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to assist in rural and remote response units — ideal for someone who wants to learn how emergency care works far from city hospitals and support systems. You’ll train alongside professionals who respond to large-scale incidents such as traffic pileups, building collapses, fires, or natural disasters. You’ll shadow experienced paramedics as they patrol venues, staying visible, calm, and ready for any on-site medical need. You’ll assist with treating a wide range of emergencies — from heart attacks and injuries to allergic reactions and animal-related trauma. You’ll learn how to monitor patients during transit, recording vitals, comfort levels, and any changes in condition. You’ll assist in lifting patients from hazardous environments and supporting their transfer to emergency vehicles. You’ll be trained to spot early signs of medical distress in crowds, such as dehydration, intoxication, or anxiety. You’ll help restock and decontaminate gear after each mission, preparing for the next call without delay. You’ll support team hygiene routines by cleaning and disinfecting the ambulance between transports and after patient contact.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Treat every patient with respect, dignity, and compassion—regardless of circumstance or background.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, hospital staff, and fellow responders to coordinate care.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and follow legal, ethical, and medical guidelines at all times.
  • Support disaster relief efforts, mass casualty events, or community outreach programs if required.
  • Stay physically and mentally prepared for long shifts, night work, or back-to-back emergencies.

Preferred:

  • Enjoys being the first to respond and make a direct difference in patient outcomes.
  • Comfortable performing in both urban and rural settings with limited resources.
  • Familiar with operating in ambulances, rescue vehicles, and responding to 911 or urgent dispatch calls.
  • Wants to grow into roles like Flight Paramedic, EMS Supervisor, or Critical Care Transport Specialist.
  • Open to ongoing training, certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, PHTLS), and continuous professional development.

Benefits:

  • You’re not just a number on a roster — you’re a life-saver and we act like it.
  • Clear, fair protocols — so you’re not guessing in critical moments.
  • It’s not just a job — it’s a calling, and we treat it that way.
  • Weekly or bi-weekly pay, bonuses for night shifts and holidays.
  • Your decisions matter — and are respected by the whole emergency chain.

You’ll support crew debriefings after calls, helping to reset equipment, clean the vehicle, and prepare for the next response. You’ll help with communication between the on-site crew and dispatch, ambulance units, or event command centers. You’ll be expected to follow hygiene and safety standards closely, including proper PPE usage and biohazard disposal. You’ll build a strong foundation in observation, preparation, and flexibility — core skills for any future medic. You’ll be part of a public-facing team that protects health and safety while helping the event feel organized and secure. No experience is needed — just a deep sense of responsibility, curiosity, and respect for the challenges of rural medicine. This internship is ideal for someone considering EMS, wilderness rescue, or healthcare work in underserved regions. If you’re ready to help patients get where they need to be with care and clarity, we’re ready to train you.
