Description:
We’re looking for an HR Specialist Trainee who’s ready to learn the art and science of recruiting — no prior experience needed, just strong communication skills, empathy, and an eye for potential. You’ll help craft job postings that are clear, inclusive, and aligned with team needs. You’ll help support the recruitment process by posting jobs, organizing applications, and scheduling interviews. You’ll get hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems, calendar tools, and recruitment dashboards. Expect to sit in on interviews, observe how hiring decisions are made, and learn what makes a candidate stand out. We’ll train you to use applicant tracking systems and teach you how recruiters manage dozens of roles at once. You’ll help maintain candidate pipelines, track progress, and make sure no one falls through the cracks. You’ll assist with hiring metrics like time-to-fill and candidate response rates — and learn how to interpret them. We’ll guide you through creating great candidate experiences, even when you’re sending a rejection.
Basic Qualifications:
- Partner with HR teammates on employer branding, career fairs, or outreach campaigns.
- Help onboard new hires by coordinating documentation, orientation, and first-week schedules.
- Celebrate every hire—it’s not just a role filled, it’s a team strengthened.
- Create positive candidate experiences, even for those not selected.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process—from writing job descriptions to sending offer letters.
Preferred:
- Can collaborate with department heads to refine hiring profiles or revise sourcing strategies.
- Understands how to use Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and job boards effectively.
- Able to promote inclusive hiring practices and reach diverse candidate pools.
- Open to improving the recruitment process through automation, templates, or data analysis.
