Description:
We’re hiring a Cook who doesn’t just follow recipes — but understands why each step matters, and takes pride in putting care into every plate. You’ll be responsible for prepping and cooking dishes to spec, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or anything in between. You’ll work alongside a kitchen team, communicating clearly and keeping the pace steady during slow hours and busy rushes alike. You’ll keep your station clean, ingredients fresh, and workflow efficient no matter how busy it gets. You’ll respect every product — from the first chopped onion to the last garnish on the pass — because details matter. You’ll manage prep lists, portioning, and rotation with discipline and a good eye for quality control. You’ll be expected to stay cool under pressure, adapt to unexpected changes, and recover fast when mistakes happen. You’ll check temps, label containers, and uphold the highest food safety and sanitation practices. You’ll support the team by jumping in wherever needed — from slicing and dicing to washing and wiping.
Basic Qualifications:
- Work quickly without sacrificing safety, especially when handling knives, fryers, or hot pans.
- Handle kitchen equipment properly and report any malfunctions or hazards immediately.
- Take pride in the food you serve—presentation and taste both matter.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to time dishes correctly and serve hot, fresh meals every time.
- Keep your workstation clean throughout service and deep-clean at the end of each shift.
Preferred:
- Experience preparing meals in a restaurant, café, catering, or institutional kitchen setting.
- Follows safety rules to prevent cross-contamination, burns, or accidents in the kitchen.
- Can assist with batch cooking, sauces, marinades, and dressings for daily service needs.
- Knowledge of food handling standards, sanitation procedures, and HACCP guidelines.
- Enjoys working with fresh ingredients and delivering high-quality meals.
