You know how to handle suction, X-rays, and charting — and still have time for a reassuring word. You’ll keep your cool when the schedule runs tight and the waiting room is full — because you’ve got this. You’ll help patients feel relaxed, even if they “hate the dentist” — challenge accepted. You’ll help kids laugh, adults relax, and anxious visitors breathe a little easier. Your role may not always be in the spotlight, but it’s felt in every smooth procedure and every grateful goodbye. Whether it’s a routine cleaning or a complex procedure, you’ll support the process with confidence and care.

Basic Qualifications:

• Assist in creating a safe, professional, and positive environment that patients feel comfortable returning to.
• Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, taking impressions, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Help manage patient flow—minimizing wait times, preparing the next patient, and keeping the dentist informed of timing.
• Order and manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure all instruments are accounted for, labeled, and functional.
• Stay updated with CPR certification, dental assistant training, and continuing education to maintain licensure and improve skills.

Preferred:

• Thrives in a team-oriented environment focused on quality care and organization.
• Can manage front desk duties when needed, including scheduling, billing, and verifying insurance.
• Able to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment throughout the day.
• Can calmly manage situations involving anxious patients, children, or medical emergencies.
• Open to learning new technologies like intraoral scanners or digital charting systems.
