We’re offering a Public Relations Specialist Trainee position for someone who’s passionate about communication, storytelling, and building public trust — no experience required, just strong instincts, curiosity, and attention to tone. You’ll help shape how the world sees a brand by assisting in crafting press releases, pitches, and strategic messaging. We’ll teach you how to monitor brand mentions, track media coverage, and spot opportunities for positive exposure. You’ll help pitch stories to media outlets and learn how to tailor your message for different platforms and audiences. Expect to monitor brand mentions, scan headlines, and flag opportunities or risks in real time. You’ll learn how to write for different formats: newsrooms, blogs, emails, and even Instagram captions — each with their own voice. We’ll show you how to respond to crises with calm, consistency, and strategic messaging. You’ll assist in compiling media coverage, creating recap reports, and evaluating PR success with clear metrics. We’ll introduce you to the tools of the trade — like media databases, coverage trackers, and sentiment analysis dashboards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Track campaign performance using tools like Meltwater, Cision, or Google Alerts.
• Draft bylines, op-eds, and ghostwritten pieces for leadership when needed.
• Craft press releases, media pitches, and official statements that reflect the brand’s tone and values.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets across industries.
• Coordinate PR efforts with influencer outreach, social media, and branded content teams.

Preferred:

• Understands how to manage brand reputation and craft messaging for different audiences.
• Willing to assist with community engagement, partnership coordination, or thought leadership content.
• Can track earned media coverage and prepare detailed PR performance reports.
• Experienced in writing for both B2B and B2C audiences depending on brand goals.
• Knows how to respond quickly to crises or negative press with clarity and professionalism.
