Description:

We’re hiring an Accounting Assistant who’s ready to learn the ropes, grow in the role, and build a strong foundation in finance. You’ll support our finance team from anywhere — entering transactions, tracking expenses, and keeping things running behind the scenes. You’ll make sure payments are recorded, vendors are paid, and every transaction is exactly where it should be. You’ll help close the books each month, assist during audits, and keep our numbers sharp and reliable. You’ll get hands-on experience with accounting software, spreadsheets, and internal systems — no worries, we’ll train you. Whether it’s matching receipts or verifying payments, you know that every cent matters. You’ll assist during monthly closings, audits, and reporting cycles — and see how everything connects. You will maintain organized financial files, track expense reports, and contribute to a clean and auditable ledger. You’ll help prepare financial statements, assist with audits, and support monthly closings. You’ll receive regular feedback, coaching, and clear goals as you grow your skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Update and maintain fixed asset records and assist with depreciation schedules when applicable.
• Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve billing discrepancies, request missing documentation, or confirm transactions.
• Use spreadsheets and formulas effectively—sorting data, running totals, and creating simple financial models when needed.
• Support payroll processing by collecting timesheets, checking data accuracy, and entering details into payroll systems when needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures and checklists to ensure accuracy in repetitive accounting tasks.

Preferred:

• Can follow instructions carefully and ask questions when procedures are unclear.
• Background or interest in finance, bookkeeping, business, or economics.
• Wants to grow into roles like Junior Accountant, Financial Analyst, or Payroll Coordinator.
• Experience working with ERP or cloud-based finance systems is a plus.
• Comfortable with data entry, invoice processing, and matching receipts to expenses.
