Description:
We’re hiring a Junior Frontend Developer Trainee with a focus on React and Next. You’ll work closely with designers to translate mockups into code that looks, feels, and functions exactly as intended. We’ll teach you how to read design specs, extract assets, and build UI that respects spacing, typography, and brand consistency. You’ll learn to go beyond layout: timing, easing, delays, and feedback that gives users clarity and confidence. Expect to work with components in React (or similar), using props and variants to match Figma’s logic and structure. We’ll show you how to read Figma files, translate mockups into working interfaces, and implement pixel-perfect UIs. You’ll learn how to manage responsiveness across breakpoints, support dark mode, and ensure layouts hold up under real content. We’ll help you read Figma files, match spacing, use rem units, and make everything responsive across viewports. You’ll also learn how to use tools like Vite, ESLint, Prettier, and how to debug like a real dev (not just refresh endlessly).
Basic Qualifications:
- Work with tools like Vite, Webpack, or Next.js if the stack calls for it.
- Stay curious: read docs, follow dev blogs, or build side projects that keep you sharp.
- Be a team player, not a hero coder—collaboration beats cleverness.
- Commit code regularly, open pull requests, and respond to review comments with curiosity—not ego.
- Build responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—starting from Figma or scratch.
Preferred:
- Willing to pair program, receive code reviews, and contribute to Git pull requests.
- Organized with task tracking tools like Trello, Jira, or Notion to stay on top of sprint work.
- Thrives in collaborative, feedback-rich environments with modern development workflows.
- Comfortable working with backend developers to integrate frontend with APIs and auth flows.
- Understands the importance of mobile-first design and visual consistency across screen sizes.
Benefits:
- Regular releases, fast feedback, and real users — your work doesn’t gather dust.
- Weekly tech syncs with pizza, memes, and new CSS tricks.
- Code reviews that teach, not humiliate — we’re here to build, not gatekeep.
- Your PRs won’t sit for a week — we respect momentum.
- Modern stack — think React, TypeScript, Tailwind, not jQuery and regrets.
Your goal will be to deliver clean, scalable code that makes designers proud and users comfortable. This is a great fit if you love detail — pixel alignment, easing curves, and making a button feel “just right. You’ll learn how to create flexible components that match the design now — and adapt easily later. No job experience? That’s fine — if you’ve ever recreated a Dribbble shot in code or carefully styled a portfolio, you’re in the right place. You don’t need prior job experience — just a GitHub with side projects, Codepens, or even a personal site is a great start. By the end, you’ll have a portfolio full of interactive UI work and the confidence to build interfaces that feel like craft, not code. You’ll gain a portfolio of real features in production, a Git history you’re proud of, and the confidence to own small features start to finish. If you love turning pixels into components and obsessing over spacing — we’re ready to help you grow into a frontend pro.
