Description:

We’re looking for a proactive and friendly Discord Moderator to join our team and help maintain a positive atmosphere in our community. You’ll be responsible for monitoring chat activity, ensuring users are following the community guidelines and fostering healthy discussions. You’ll help resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and ensure that members feel comfortable engaging within the community. You’ll help organize and manage events, including discussions, games, and announcements, to keep the community engaged and active. You’ll monitor chat activity to ensure that conversations stay on-topic and that members are following the community guidelines. You’ll collaborate with other moderators to ensure fair decision-making and consistency in rule enforcement across the server. You’ll collaborate with the community management team to gather feedback, track trends, and suggest improvements for the community experience. You’ll engage with members, answer questions, and offer assistance to ensure that all users feel heard and valued.

Basic Qualifications:

• Tag the right roles, use bot commands correctly, and maintain clarity in mod-logs and moderation actions.
• Stay up to date with Discord updates, moderation tools, and community trends to moderate effectively.
• Step in quickly during conflicts, escalating only when necessary and explaining actions transparently when possible.
• Participate in mod meetings, contribute to rule updates, and stay aligned with the overall tone and goals of the community.
• Maintain mod chat discussions and moderation logs with professionalism and respect for privacy.

Preferred:

• Pays attention to how others interact and knows when to step in or stay neutral.
• Wants to help maintain a welcoming, inclusive space for people from different backgrounds.
• Willing to learn how to use moderation tools like MEE6, Dyno, or Carl-bot.
• Can keep discussions on-topic and redirect conversations when needed.
• Open to learning how to mute, warn, or report users who violate guidelines.
