Description:
We’re looking for a Kitchen Trainee who’s eager to learn, shows up on time, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. You’ll be responsible for prepping and cooking dishes to spec, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or anything in between. You’ll work clean and stay organized, keeping your station stocked, sanitized, and ready for action at all times. You’ll keep your station clean, ingredients fresh, and workflow efficient no matter how busy it gets. Expect to wash dishes, clean your station, and support wherever help is needed — everyone pitches in here. You’ll communicate clearly with servers and other cooks to time dishes correctly and avoid bottlenecks during rushes. Some days might be fast-paced and hectic, but that’s where teamwork matters most. You’ll help with morning prep or evening close-down depending on your shift, and take responsibility for your tools and space. You’ll take feedback well, ask questions when unsure, and aim to get a little better every week.
Basic Qualifications:
- Leave the kitchen better than you found it, every single shift.
- Take pride in the food you serve—presentation and taste both matter.
- Prepare meals according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Be punctual and reliable—your presence is essential to the kitchen running smoothly.
- Train junior kitchen staff or dishwashers in prep, cleaning, or basic cooking tasks.
Preferred:
- Willing to learn new recipes, cuisines, or dietary accommodations such as vegan, gluten-free, or allergen-aware dishes.
- Follows safety rules to prevent cross-contamination, burns, or accidents in the kitchen.
- Understands kitchen flow and prioritizes tasks to maintain steady service without delays.
- Open to early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts as needed.
