Description:

We’re hiring an enthusiastic Online English Tutor to help students master the English language through personalized lessons. You’ll be responsible for teaching English to students of all ages, providing personalized instruction based on their proficiency level. You’ll assess each student’s level and tailor lessons to meet their specific language learning goals and needs. You’ll provide clear explanations of complex language concepts, helping students build a solid foundation in English. You’ll help students build their conversational skills, encouraging them to engage in real-life English dialogues. You’ll assist students in preparing for standardized English tests like TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge English exams. You’ll create a positive and motivating learning environment that fosters student confidence and engagement. You’ll track and monitor student performance, adjusting lesson content to ensure continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay updated with modern ESL/TEFL techniques and integrate new strategies when appropriate.
• Assess students' progress regularly through quizzes, speaking practice, and personalized feedback.
• Use a mix of real-life examples, role-plays, and interactive tools to make lessons practical and enjoyable.
• Adapt teaching methods and pacing to suit learners from different backgrounds, ages, or learning styles.
• Create a safe learning space where mistakes are welcomed as part of growth, not something to fear.

Preferred:

• Experience preparing students for tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or general conversation practice.
• Familiar with CEFR levels (A1–C2) and basic language assessment principles.
• Experience teaching English online or in-person, either formally or informally.
• Background or strong interest in education, linguistics, communication, or foreign languages.
• Values patience, clarity, and encouragement as key teaching tools.

You’ll provide ongoing support to students outside of scheduled lessons, answering questions and offering additional resources for self-study. You’ll motivate students to continue practicing outside of lessons, helping them become independent learners. You’ll provide extra learning materials and resources for students to work on outside of class, encouraging self-study and improvement. This remote role allows you to work from anywhere, offering the flexibility to set your own hours while helping students succeed.
