Description:

We’re hiring a Loader Trainee to support cargo handling at our maritime terminal — ideal for someone who’s physically ready, alert, and curious about large-scale global logistics. You’ll begin by helping move boxes, pallets, and goods from delivery trucks into storage zones, always following safety procedures. You’ll be taught how to lift and carry heavy items safely, using proper posture and teamwork for awkward or oversized loads. You’ll help move materials across the site to where they’re needed — sometimes on foot, sometimes with wheelbarrows or dollies. You’ll help prepare shipments by loading trucks with care, balancing loads to prevent shifting during transport. You’ll learn how to follow FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation, helping prevent food waste and inventory loss. You’ll learn how to wrap pallets, stack boxes properly, and secure loads so they travel safely during transport. You’ll assist in maintaining clean, organized staging areas so workers can access supplies quickly without tripping hazards. You’ll rotate between general labor tasks like sweeping, collecting scrap, or assisting with tool movement between teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use equipment like dollies, hand trucks, or forklifts if certified and required.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, containers, or pallets quickly and safely.
• Keep loading areas clean, clear of obstacles, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Handle packages, boxes, or materials with care to avoid damage during transit.
• Maintain a positive, dependable attitude—others count on your speed and accuracy.

Preferred:

• Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks and staying productive during long shifts.
• Wants to grow into roles like Forklift Operator, Loading Supervisor, or Dock Coordinator.
• Experience working in warehouses, shipping yards, or delivery services involving manual loading and unloading tasks.
• Follows safety regulations and wears proper protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, boots, and belts.
• Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move heavy items consistently throughout the shift.
