We’re offering an Actuary Trainee position for someone who loves working with numbers, patterns, and predictions — no experience needed, just a sharp mind and curiosity about risk management. You’ll assist in analyzing datasets to identify risk patterns and financial trends across insurance or pension portfolios. We’ll teach you how to collect, clean, and interpret data to support pricing, forecasting, and decision-making. You’ll help assess risks in areas like insurance, pensions, or investment products, depending on the team you join. Expect to work with historical data and help identify trends that drive strategic planning. You’ll learn to interpret mortality tables, claim patterns, and economic assumptions. We’ll show you how to present complex data in ways that support better, faster decisions for stakeholders. You’ll participate in discussions about reserves, liabilities, and how companies prepare for the unexpected. We’ll show you how to document your work clearly, explain assumptions, and spot inconsistencies in data inputs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Support internal audit or risk committees by preparing clear and concise reports.
• Refine models based on actual outcomes to improve predictive accuracy over time.
• Perform scenario testing to evaluate the impact of events like inflation spikes, market crashes, or demographic shifts.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws, insurance regulation, and actuarial standards of practice.
• Analyze risk using statistical models, historical data, and economic trends to support business decisions.

Preferred:

• Capable of conducting pricing, reserving, or capital modeling tasks under supervision.
• Can communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including management and clients.
• Maintains confidentiality, objectivity, and compliance with professional standards.
• Comfortable using tools like Excel (with advanced functions), SAS, Prophet, or VBA for data manipulation.
• Open to learning emerging tools like machine learning, predictive analytics, or data visualization platforms.

You’ll observe how actuaries communicate technical findings clearly to executives, regulators, and non-technical teams.
