Description:

We’re looking for a Barista Trainee who’s eager to learn the art and rhythm of coffee-making while delivering a warm, welcoming experience to every guest. You’ll help open early — preparing the machines, aligning cups, and making sure everything is stocked and spotless before the morning rush begins. You’ll assist in prepping gear, checking the espresso machine, and stocking milk, beans, and cups before service starts. You’ll assist with brewing methods like V60, Chemex, AeroPress, and learn what makes each cup unique. You’ll learn to multitask — pulling shots, steaming milk, and chatting with customers, all in tight spaces and changing environments. You’ll support snack and pastry service — warming items, restocking displays, and handling food with hygiene and care. You’ll learn how to work clean and fast, keeping your station tidy while handling multiple drink tickets at once. You’ll get familiar with how to pace yourself during busy hours and stay efficient without sacrificing quality or care. You’ll help support daily rituals like cuppings, team calibration, and opening the café with intention and flow.

Basic Qualifications:

• Operate coffee equipment like grinders, espresso machines, and milk steamers safely and efficiently.
• Clean equipment regularly and report any technical issues to management.
• Stay calm and friendly during busy hours, managing multiple drink orders at once.
• Contribute ideas for improving service, efficiency, or customer experience.
• Keep track of ingredient levels and restock supplies like beans, syrups, cups, and napkins as needed.

Preferred:

• Understands how to manage customer queues, prepare orders efficiently, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Willing to assist with food prep, pastry display, and light cleaning duties during slow periods.
• Friendly and engaging with customers, capable of taking orders clearly and offering product recommendations.
• Familiar with basic coffee bean knowledge, roast profiles, and brewing techniques (e.g., pour-over, French press, cold brew).
• Thrives in fast-paced, customer-focused settings where speed meets craft.
