Description:

We’re hiring a Dishwasher for our night shift — perfect for someone who prefers quiet hours, steady tasks, and takes pride in leaving the kitchen spotless for the next day. You’ll wash and sanitize dishes, trays, glassware, and cookware coming from the restaurant, room service, and banquet events. You’ll ensure every item is sanitized, dried, and restocked to the appropriate station for use during busy service hours. You’ll work with commercial dishwashing machines and perform manual scrubbing for heavy pots and delicate kitchen tools. You’ll assist cooks and prep staff by keeping clean tools and containers available when needed. You’ll collect dirty trays from return stations, stacking and sorting them for safe and efficient washing. You’ll collect dirty dishes from room service carts and banquet halls, returning them quickly to the wash area. You’ll be trained in food safety, chemical handling, and hygiene practices according to local health codes. You’ll rotate between washing, drying, and putting away dishes while also helping with kitchen organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Scrape food waste, rinse items, and load dish racks efficiently without breakage.
• Sort and stack clean dishes properly for use by kitchen and service staff.
• Take out trash, recycling, and compost regularly to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Help clean kitchen appliances, prep tables, or storage areas when needed.
• Maintain a clean uniform and show up ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or cafeteria setting as a dishwasher or kitchen helper.
• Comfortable maintaining a clean and organized dish pit area to prevent cross-contamination or delays.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy racks, and bend frequently throughout shifts.
• Wants to grow into roles like Prep Cook, Line Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor over time.
• Thrives in fast-paced, organized environments where cleanliness and teamwork are key.
