Description:

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Game Tester to join our team and help improve the quality of our games. You’ll be responsible for testing new and upcoming games, identifying bugs, glitches, and other technical issues. You’ll play through various levels of the game, providing detailed feedback on gameplay, mechanics, and overall user experience. You’ll work closely with the development team to report issues, prioritize them, and track fixes through to completion. You’ll be tasked with playing games across multiple platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance consistency across devices. You’ll provide feedback on gameplay mechanics, level design, and player progression to help enhance the gaming experience. You’ll ensure that all reported bugs are documented clearly, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and other relevant information. You’ll participate in regular testing cycles, helping to ensure that all issues are addressed before the game is released to the public.

Basic Qualifications:

• Follow detailed test cases as well as perform exploratory testing to catch unexpected or edge-case bugs.
• Be patient and persistent—some bugs are rare and require repetition or creativity to uncover.
• Test specific game features—menus, multiplayer, achievements, physics, UI/UX—to ensure they function as expected under different scenarios.
• Play pre-release versions of games across platforms (PC, console, mobile) to identify bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies in gameplay, graphics, and performance.
• Perform regression testing after patches or updates to ensure old bugs haven’t returned and new ones haven’t been introduced.

Preferred:

• Understands basic testing terminology like test cases, repro steps, and bug severity.
• Thrives in a collaborative, detail-driven, and deadline-oriented environment.
• Experience testing or playing a variety of games across platforms (PC, console, mobile).
• Able to play for long periods with focus and provide constructive feedback.
• Understands how to provide both subjective feedback and objective testing data.

You’ll participate in user acceptance testing, ensuring the game’s final product aligns with the expectations of its target audience. You’ll work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
