Description:

We’re seeking a Pastry Decorator who sees confectionery as couture — someone who thrives on elegance, balance, and the kind of detail that elevates desserts from beautiful to breathtaking. You’ll work on custom orders for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, corporate events, and more — each with its own theme, challenge, and flair. You’ll work closely with the baking team to ensure all items are decorated and ready for display, pickup, or delivery on time. You’ll collaborate with bakers and clients to understand themes, color palettes, and customization requests. You’ll lead decoration for multi-tiered cakes, petits fours, plated desserts, and limited-edition product drops. We expect you to bring consistency to even the most intricate finishes — piping lace, layering textures, or placing edible pearls with surgical precision. You’ll coordinate with bakers to align flavors, fillings, and tiers with the overall vision and customer expectations. You’ll photograph your finished work and help showcase it on our social media or website portfolio. You’ll help clean and sanitize your station and equipment daily, keeping everything food-safe and orderly.

Basic Qualifications:

• Photograph finished products for portfolio, social media, or marketing use.
• Ensure all decorated items meet visual, structural, and taste quality standards before display or delivery.
• Suggest creative ideas for new pastries or display items to keep offerings visually exciting.
• Collaborate with customers or team members to customize designs for events, themes, or special occasions.
• Prepare frostings, glazes, and fillings to the correct consistency, color, and flavor.

Preferred:

• Able to replicate designs across batches with consistency and quality control.
• Knows how to adapt designs for dietary needs, such as gluten-free or vegan orders.
• Experience decorating cakes, cupcakes, pastries, or cookies for events, bakeries, or custom orders.
• Understands how to price decoration work appropriately based on detail, size, and time.
• Thrives in creative, detail-focused environments where quality and visual appeal matter.
