Description:

We’re looking for a skilled Discord Server Designer to create an engaging, organized, and welcoming environment for our community. You’ll be the mastermind behind the server’s structure, making sure it’s intuitive, engaging, and easy for everyone to navigate. You’ll customize roles, permissions, and categories to match the needs of different user groups within the server. You’ll work closely with community managers to ensure the server is safe, fun, and inclusive for all members. You’ll design features that keep the server active and interactive, such as events, polls, and custom bot commands. You’ll work closely with our community managers to create an environment where members feel welcome and valued. You’ll develop systems for moderating and managing community interactions, keeping things positive and productive. You’ll create clear guidelines for server usage, maintaining a balance between structure and freedom. You’ll stay up-to-date with Discord’s latest features and experiment with new ways to improve engagement and interactivity.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be available for feedback and tweaks post-launch—server design is rarely one-and-done.
• Implement roles, permissions, and access logic that balance security, functionality, and ease of use.
• Regularly review feedback from users and iterate on the server design to keep it fresh, organized, and engaging.
• Optimize for mobile and desktop users alike—test layout visibility and UX across devices.
• Guide team members or community leaders on how to use the server’s tools and systems effectively.

Preferred:

• Understands the importance of role hierarchy and permission boundaries.
• Familiar with using third-party integrations like Zapier, Tally forms, or webhook systems.
• Can balance fun and function by integrating game nights, feedback systems, or stage channels.
• Able to design intuitive server layouts with welcome channels, rules, and role assignment flows.
• Understands Discord permissions, roles, and moderation settings for secure environments.
