Description:
We’re welcoming a motivated Architect Trainee to join our design studio and learn how great spaces are imagined, refined, and realized — no experience necessary, just passion and a sharp eye. You’ll assist with drafting layouts, preparing site plans, and translating sketches into clean architectural drawings. We’ll teach you how to think in both 2D and 3D, and how to turn spatial concepts into practical, buildable designs. You’ll help explore materials, facades, lighting strategies, and how they contribute to the user experience. Expect to participate in brainstorming sessions where form, function, and sustainability come together. You’ll gain exposure to sustainable architecture principles, passive design techniques, and energy-conscious planning. We’ll guide you through the basics of model-making, detailing, and material selection. You’ll help prepare mood boards, material palettes, and architectural diagrams for review. You’ll help research local codes, green building standards, and accessibility requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Manage timelines, documentation, and client communications to keep projects on track.
- Balance beauty and practicality—your designs should inspire, but also get built.
- Design functional, aesthetic, and sustainable structures that meet client goals and regulatory codes.
- Create detailed blueprints, models, and renderings using CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
- Balance innovation with constraints like cost, space, and environmental impact.
Preferred:
- Keeps up with architectural trends, technologies, and sustainability standards like LEED or BREEAM.
- Values innovation, technical rigor, and user experience in built environments.
- Comfortable working with both residential and commercial typologies depending on project scope.
- Organized with project timelines, drawing sets, and design development workflows.
- Licensed or on track for architectural certification, with strong knowledge of design principles and building codes.
Benefits:
- Bring spaces to life — from napkin sketch to skyline, your vision matters.
- Weekly pin-ups, idea shares, and feedback loops that actually help, not hurt.
- You’ll collaborate with engineers, designers, and clients who value great architecture.
- Modern studio culture — respectful, focused, with space for deep work and sudden inspiration.
- You’ll work on real projects that get built — not just “concepts for client moodboards.”
We’ll teach you how to annotate drawings clearly so your ideas are not just beautiful — but buildable. You’ll observe how design intent is translated into construction documentation and technical details. You’ll support team efforts in preparing client decks, zoning analysis, and feasibility studies. You’ll be part of a creative studio culture where your input is welcome and learning is part of every day. We’ll offer mentorship, tutorials, and feedback on your sketches, models, and design thinking. By the end of your traineeship, you’ll understand how good architecture is both imaginative and deeply technical. By the end of the program, you’ll understand how form meets function and how design decisions shape the built world. If you’re ready to learn how design becomes reality — we’re ready to welcome you to the process.
