Description:
We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to support our event medical team — perfect for someone who wants to gain real-world experience in crowd settings, live events, and high-energy environments. You’ll train alongside professionals who respond to large-scale incidents such as traffic pileups, building collapses, fires, or natural disasters. You’ll help prepare for long transports by checking oxygen supply, battery life, medications, and equipment before each shift. You’ll be trained to communicate with nurses and hospital staff during patient handoffs, making sure no detail is missed. You’ll be trained to adapt when resources are limited and hospital access takes 30 minutes or more by road. You’ll assist with basic care tasks like helping patients in and out of the ambulance, securing straps, and adjusting pillows or blankets. You’ll help calm family members on scene, explain procedures clearly, and reassure patients who are far from professional care. You’ll learn how paramedics improvise when backup is unavailable and how to make quick decisions with minimal tools. You’ll be trained in basic rescue tools and how to move safely around unstable or dangerous areas under supervision.
Basic Qualifications:
- Reassure and support patients and their families in stressful, traumatic, or emotional circumstances.
- Make split-second decisions in high-pressure situations with a calm and focused mindset.
- Report equipment malfunctions or vehicle issues promptly to maintain operational readiness.
- Remain flexible and alert throughout unpredictable, high-intensity shifts.
- Be the calm in the chaos—someone people trust in their most vulnerable moments.
Preferred:
- Willing to mentor junior EMTs or participate in public health outreach and first-aid education.
- Can educate patients and family members about care steps or post-discharge instructions when appropriate.
- Enjoys being the first to respond and make a direct difference in patient outcomes.
- Able to manage emotional stress, exposure to trauma, and unpredictable work conditions.
- Values resilience, teamwork, and quick thinking in life-or-death situations.
Benefits:
- Weekly or bi-weekly pay, bonuses for night shifts and holidays.
- Recognition for calm under pressure — not just heroic moments.
- You’ll be first on the scene, but never left on your own — we’ve got your back.
- Make a real difference — every shift, every call, every life.
- You’ll see the impact of your work instantly — in lives stabilized and stories continued.
You’ll support the team with logistics like resupplying kits, tracking patient flow, and cleaning treatment zones between uses. You’ll help explain procedures to patients and families, offering reassurance during what may be stressful or confusing transitions. You’ll be expected to follow hygiene and safety standards closely, including proper PPE usage and biohazard disposal. You’ll gain exposure to emergency protocols, safety briefings, and chain-of-command structures used in disaster zones. You’ll receive regular feedback and guidance from certified paramedics and EMTs who value teamwork and teaching. No emergency experience is required — just patience, attention to detail, and a respectful bedside manner. This internship is ideal for someone interested in pre-hospital care, public safety, or event operations. If you’re ready to serve people when they need help the most, we’re ready to train you in pre-hospital care.
