Description:

We’re hiring a Plumber Trainee to assist with emergency plumbing services — perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, learns fast, and wants to make a real difference when problems strike. You’ll begin by shadowing senior maintenance plumbers in apartment buildings, learning how to diagnose and respond to common household plumbing issues. You’ll help assess situations quickly, shut off valves, and communicate calmly with distressed clients on arrival. You’ll be trained to diagnose issues on the spot and assist with temporary fixes that stabilize the situation. You’ll be trained to install water lines, waste systems, vent stacks, and pipe sleeves with correct slope and spacing. You’ll support drain cleaning using snakes, augers, or hydro-jetting equipment to clear stubborn clogs fast. You’ll support pressure testing, sealing, and inspecting all connections before drywall or flooring is installed. You’ll be taught how to work safely around water damage, slippery surfaces, and potential electrical hazards. You’ll help unpack, assemble, and prep water heaters, toilets, bathtubs, faucets, and other fixtures for finish work.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Work in various environments—tight spaces, outdoors, basements—often in challenging conditions.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials like sewage or gas lines.
  • Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and hours worked.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and safety using air or water pressure gauges.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, and HVAC technicians on site projects.

Preferred:

  • Licensed or certified plumber with knowledge of local plumbing codes, safety standards, and installation techniques.
  • Can adapt to residential renovations, new construction sites, or facility maintenance roles.
  • Familiar with green plumbing solutions, water-saving fixtures, and energy-efficient systems.
  • Organized with maintaining work logs, customer service forms, part orders, and billing records.
  • Comfortable communicating with clients, contractors, and inspectors in a professional and respectful manner.

Benefits:

  • Company vehicle or mileage coverage — your car stays clean.
  • Flexible hours or shifts to fit your lifestyle — early riser or weekend warrior.
  • Fair pay for skilled labor — no unpaid overtime, no empty promises.
  • Get paid for solving real problems — every job has a clear before and after.
  • Steady, essential work — people always need plumbing, in every season.

You’ll help troubleshoot issues like cold spots, noisy pipes, low pressure, or short cycling during service calls. You’ll be expected to stay alert, flexible, and ready for last-minute scheduling adjustments or nighttime calls. You’ll receive feedback on your professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail as you grow in the role. You’ll receive mentorship in reading signs, prioritizing steps, and staying calm when pressure is high — both literally and figuratively. You’ll help ensure customer trust by showing professionalism, honesty, and a focus on long-term fixes when possible. You’ll work in mechanical rooms, basements, and crawlspaces — often in cold conditions where heat really matters. This internship is ideal for someone who wants a hands-on trade with long-term earning potential and job security. If you’re ready to work where every repair helps someone live better, we’re ready to train you in real-world plumbing service. If you're ready to bring the heat — literally — and help keep homes and businesses warm, we’re ready to train you.
