Description:

We’re hiring a Photographer / Videographer Trainee to help capture live events — from weddings and ceremonies to brand launches and behind-the-scenes moments — no experience needed, just focus and passion. You’ll assist in capturing beautiful moments across cities, nature, people, food, and real life — from rooftops to remote roads. We’ll teach you how to frame shots, work with lighting, use depth, and shoot clean, usable content with both cameras and smartphones. Expect to hike, move light gear, set up fast, and shoot both raw and cinematic footage in places where conditions change quickly. You’ll help set up gear, frame wide and close angles, manage batteries, card backups, and stay alert in fast-changing situations. We’ll guide you in capturing both horizontal and vertical formats, knowing when to shoot B-roll, and understanding what content works best where. You’ll learn how to find balance between creativity and client needs — and how to shoot intentionally with editing in mind. You’ll assist with organizing footage, backing up files, and keeping shoots efficient and professional. You’ll learn to combine raw footage with overlay shots, visual metaphors, and subtle transitions to create emotion, not just information.

Basic Qualifications:

• Adjust quickly on set if weather, lighting, or client needs change suddenly.
• Capture both staged and candid moments, depending on project requirements.
• Edit short- and long-form video for social, branded, or documentary-style content.
• Direct talent or subjects during shoots to create natural, compelling results.
• Edit and retouch footage or images to ensure they meet brand standards and look polished.

Preferred:

• Organized with managing RAW files, exporting batches, and maintaining a logical file structure.
• Understands the technical limitations and creative opportunities of mobile vs. professional gear.
• Able to deliver final media in appropriate formats and aspect ratios for social media, web, or print.
• Background or passion in visual storytelling, film, photography, or content production.
• Able to scout locations, plan shots, and visualize content according to a brief or storyboard.
