Description:

We’re looking for a meticulous and dedicated Game Tester to join our team and help ensure our games are free from bugs and glitches. You’ll be responsible for testing game features, gameplay mechanics, and other elements to identify issues that affect player experience. You’ll collaborate with developers to document and track bugs, providing clear and actionable reports to resolve issues efficiently. You’ll ensure that the game runs smoothly across various platforms, ensuring compatibility and a consistent user experience. You’ll assist in creating test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure the game functions as intended in all scenarios. You’ll help test user interfaces, ensuring all menus, buttons, and navigation systems are intuitive and bug-free. You’ll assist in testing multiplayer aspects, such as matchmaking, online play, and server performance, to ensure smooth interactions. You’ll assist in performance testing, evaluating the game’s load times, frame rates, and overall performance under different conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and designers to verify fixes and ensure issues are resolved before release.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback on game mechanics, UI clarity, and player experience, especially during alpha or beta phases.
• Simulate various user behaviors—speedrunning, idle play, extreme inputs—to uncover edge-case issues.
• Play pre-release versions of games across platforms (PC, console, mobile) to identify bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies in gameplay, graphics, and performance.
• Assist with usability and accessibility testing to ensure the game is playable by a wide range of users.

Preferred:

• Excited to work on games they love and contribute to better releases.
• Able to play for long periods with focus and provide constructive feedback.
• Comfortable with alpha, beta, or pre-release versions that may be unstable.
• Organized with task tracking, testing checklists, and reporting schedules.
• Can differentiate between minor annoyances and game-breaking issues.
