Description:

We’re hiring a motivated and dedicated Discord Moderator to join our team and help build a positive online community. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a positive and respectful environment on our Discord server, ensuring that all users follow community guidelines. You’ll assist in resolving conflicts, addressing inappropriate behavior, and fostering healthy interactions within the community. You’ll help organize and moderate events such as discussions, Q&As, and community activities, keeping the server active and engaging. You’ll help organize and moderate community events, ensuring engagement and participation from all members. You’ll assist in creating and enforcing server rules and guidelines to ensure a safe space for all members. You’ll manage spam, bots, and disruptive content, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. You’ll assist with new member onboarding, providing guidance and information about server rules and resources.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help maintain a positive atmosphere by leading through example—being calm, kind, and fair even under pressure.
• Help onboard new members by greeting them, guiding them through server rules, and answering basic questions.
• Monitor chat activity across all channels to ensure conversations stay respectful, on-topic, and within community guidelines.
• Keep an eye on voice channels, emojis, and media sharing to ensure appropriate content is being used and shared.
• Maintain mod chat discussions and moderation logs with professionalism and respect for privacy.

Preferred:

• Organized and responsive, especially when it comes to scheduled shifts or task reminders.
• Eager to support a community they believe in and contribute positively to its growth.
• Pays attention to chat flow and can recognize spam or inappropriate behavior.
• Willing to take feedback and improve their moderation skills over time.
• Willing to learn how to use moderation tools like MEE6, Dyno, or Carl-bot.

You’ll manage member roles, permissions, and handle any necessary disciplinary actions according to the server guidelines. You’ll contribute to creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both new and existing community members. You’ll collaborate with the management team to create strategies to grow the community and increase engagement. You’ll assist in gathering feedback from community members and report any concerns to the management team. You’ll work collaboratively with team members, helping to improve the overall community experience through effective communication and moderation. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of the community.
