Description:

We’re hiring a Courier Trainee for long-distance and intercity deliveries — someone who’s responsible, focused, and ready to learn how to handle critical shipments across regions. You’ll begin by supporting experienced couriers with loading routes, securing cargo, and checking paperwork before departure. You’ll learn how to scan parcels, verify manifests, and double-check addresses before leaving the warehouse. You’ll be trained to use GPS tools, delivery apps, and handheld scanners to update delivery statuses in real time. You’ll help maintain delivery logs, update transport records, and confirm hand-offs with clear signatures and documentation. You’ll receive guidance on maintaining your vehicle — from pre-trip inspections to post-trip checks and cleanliness. You’ll help maintain proper handling of sensitive materials — including sealed envelopes, signed forms, and ID-protected items. You’ll communicate with dispatch in real time and notify them of successful deliveries or unexpected delays. You’ll receive safety guidance on navigating traffic, avoiding busy intersections, and protecting packages in transit.

Basic Qualifications:

• Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS or local knowledge to avoid delays and traffic.
• Adapt quickly to weather conditions, traffic detours, or last-minute delivery changes.
• Verify addresses, contact information, and special instructions before each stop.
• Obtain signatures or proof of delivery and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Use handheld devices or apps to track deliveries and update job statuses in real time.

Preferred:

• Values punctuality, responsibility, and efficiency when handling each delivery.
• Valid driver’s license (or bicycle/motorcycle license) and a good driving record.
• Able to navigate apartment buildings, office complexes, or rural addresses confidently.
• Willing to adhere to time windows, company policies, and delivery service standards consistently.
• Open to assisting with warehouse or pickup point duties between delivery runs if needed.
