Description:

We’re hiring a Painter to join our finishing crew on new construction and renovation projects — perfect for someone who’s precise, deadline-driven, and understands the importance of a flawless final impression. You’ll work in factories, warehouses, bridges, and shipyards applying primers, epoxies, and specialty coatings that protect equipment and infrastructure from wear and corrosion. You’ll apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment depending on the surface and project type. You’ll follow client instructions and color specs to match tones, textures, and finishes exactly as requested. You’ll help match colors to design plans or coordinate with the general contractor on changes and substitutions. You’ll help mix paint to match specified colors and maintain consistency across large surfaces and multi-day projects. You’ll perform touch-ups, re-coats, and spot repairs for scratches, dents, or uneven surfaces after inspection. You’ll be trained to work on both interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and siding. You’ll be expected to complete daily job logs, report material usage, and communicate progress to supervisors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Apply paint, varnish, stains, or coatings to walls, ceilings, furniture, and exterior surfaces.
• Deliver clean, polished results that improve the space visually and structurally.
• Follow blueprints or color schemes provided by clients, designers, or supervisors.
• Collaborate with construction crews, electricians, or other trades to coordinate work timelines.
• Apply multiple coats as needed, allowing appropriate drying time between layers.

Preferred:

• Thrives in active, hands-on work environments where precision and pride in work are essential.
• Understands how to apply stains, sealants, or specialty finishes to wood, metal, or concrete surfaces.
• Capable of reading blueprints, work orders, or verbal instructions to follow job requirements accurately.
• Familiar with preparing surfaces through sanding, scraping, patching, priming, or power washing.
• Experience painting residential, commercial, or industrial spaces including walls, ceilings, doors, and exteriors.

You’ll use ladders, scaffolding, and safety gear while working at height or in tight corners. You’ll assist with moving scaffolding, checking tie-offs, and spotting hazards for your crew. You’ll assist with loading and unloading paint materials, tools, and job site supplies. You’ll assist with samples, mockups, and test areas before final application on any custom project. You’ll receive consistent hours and opportunities to move up into team lead or foreman roles over time. You’ll work indoors or outdoors in all seasons depending on the assignment and surface conditions. Experience is helpful but not required — we’ll train those with the strength, balance, and focus to work safely at height.
