Description:

We’re hiring a Commercial Locksmith to install, maintain, and troubleshoot lock systems in office buildings, hotels, schools, and warehouses — perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, discreet, and experienced with large-scale security systems. You’ll work with facility managers, building supervisors, and security teams to ensure locks and access points are always functioning and secure. You’ll install high-security deadbolts, keyless entry systems, panic bars, closers, and master key systems across a variety of commercial sites. You’ll cut and program transponder keys, key fobs, remote start systems, and push-to-start units using diagnostic equipment. You’ll troubleshoot connection issues, app pairing problems, and battery-related concerns both during and after installation. You’ll drive a fully stocked mobile service vehicle with tools, blanks, key-cutting machines, and diagnostic gear for roadside work. You’ll maintain your service vehicle with all tools, blanks, lubricants, and hardware needed for a variety of jobs. You’ll log each visit, record work done, track parts used, and issue invoices or payment receipts onsite. You’ll work independently, managing your daily route and calls through a dispatch app or company phone.

• Cut new keys, rekey existing locks, and program electronic or smart locking systems.
• Maintain professional appearance and communication—clients often meet you in stressful situations.
• Maintain detailed service records, invoices, and logs of key codes or lock types when required.

Preferred:

• Capable of troubleshooting keyless entry systems and integrating locks with alarm or camera systems.
• Organized with maintaining service records, key logs, and customer documentation for security compliance.
• Pays close attention to cleanliness, professionalism, and worksite safety during every job.
• Wants to grow into roles like Master Locksmith, Security Systems Consultant, or Shop Owner.
• Values integrity, patience, and problem-solving in helping clients secure their property.

You’ll be expected to stay calm, professional, and solution-focused, especially when clients are locked out or stranded. You’ll coordinate with IT or security vendors when working on smart locks or network-connected entry systems. You’ll be trained in anti-theft systems, key cloning procedures, and ECU synchronization for newer models. You’ll work both independently and alongside contractors, engineers, or facility techs depending on the scope of the job. You’ll document every call clearly, especially when dealing with forced entry, trespassing, or damaged property. You’ll receive support and mentoring from senior techs who know the ins and outs of nearly every vehicle system. Previous locksmith or hardware experience is a plus — but we’re also ready to train quick learners with strong mechanical aptitude.
