Description:

We’re looking for a PR Specialist Trainee who’s excited to help shape public perception, build brand reputation, and tell stories that matter — no experience required, just strong communication skills and a proactive mindset. You’ll assist in crafting press materials, preparing Q&A briefs, and curating media contact lists for outreach. We’ll teach you how to monitor brand mentions, track media coverage, and spot opportunities for positive exposure. You’ll assist with media lists, daily monitoring, and tracking brand mentions across press and social platforms. Expect to participate in real campaigns, from product launches to reputation management efforts. You’ll also support social media messaging, company blogs, and cross-channel communication with a PR lens. We’ll guide you in handling public feedback and helping brands respond with clarity and professionalism. You’ll assist in competitive research to see how others communicate, and what makes stories resonate. You’ll be included in team discussions about positioning, timing, and media angles that spark coverage.

Basic Qualifications:

• Track campaign performance using tools like Meltwater, Cision, or Google Alerts.
• Ensure all public messaging is clear, respectful, and in alignment with brand reputation.
• Craft press releases, media pitches, and official statements that reflect the brand’s tone and values.
• Maintain a media contact list and update it regularly to reflect current relationships.
• Organize press kits, media briefings, and backgrounders that make it easy for journalists to cover you.

Preferred:

• Organized in managing editorial calendars, campaign timelines, and approval workflows.
• Willing to assist with community engagement, partnership coordination, or thought leadership content.
• Understands how to manage brand reputation and craft messaging for different audiences.
• Background or interest in communications, journalism, marketing, or media relations.
• Can prepare communication briefs and debriefs for post-campaign evaluation.
