Description:

We’re hiring a Security System Installer Trainee — no experience needed, just a strong work ethic and interest in tech and safety. You’ll help install systems that protect people’s homes, businesses, and peace of mind — quietly, carefully, and thoroughly. You’ll start by assisting on real installations: unboxing smart devices, organizing cables, and prepping work areas. You’ll assist experienced technicians on real job sites — homes, offices, shops — learning how systems are set up in different environments. You’ll help set up systems that sync with mobile apps, smart assistants, and cloud storage for real-time access. You’ll be shown how to mount devices, connect control panels, and test systems for reliability and accuracy. Expect to learn how to route cables cleanly, avoid signal interference, and connect systems safely to power and networks. Customer interaction is part of the job — you’ll help explain systems, answer questions, and ensure installations are clean and professional. We’ll guide you in understanding system layouts, battery backups, wireless signal ranges, and router placement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Climb ladders, drill holes, and mount equipment neatly and safely.
• Coordinate with clients to schedule installation times that work for them.
• Install security systems like cameras, motion detectors, and alarm panels in homes and businesses.
• Diagnose system errors using testing devices or software.
• Be available for emergency repairs or support calls when necessary.

Preferred:

• Can assist in training clients on emergency response procedures and system features.
• Background or interest in electronics, security technology, low-voltage systems, or IT networking.
• Comfortable working at heights, in attics, basements, or confined spaces when routing cables.
• Willing to work with residential, commercial, or industrial clients depending on project needs.
• Comfortable reading blueprints, technical diagrams, or installation manuals to determine optimal device placement.
