Description:

We’re offering a Nanny Trainee position for someone who’s ready to support a busy household with multiple children of different ages. You’ll assist in building daily routines that include learning moments — whether through storytelling, creative play, or exploring nature. You’ll support age-appropriate educational activities like counting games, shape sorting, basic reading, and memory-building exercises. You’ll assist in organizing indoor and outdoor play activities that are both fun and age-appropriate. You’ll assist with homework for older kids while keeping younger siblings safely entertained nearby. You’ll be trained on how to respond to tantrums, separation anxiety, and sibling disagreements with patience and structure. You’ll support toddler transitions from crawling to walking, bottle to cup, and help encourage new skills step by step. You’ll learn how to guide behavior gently, using positive reinforcement and simple, clear boundaries. You’ll learn how to create calm in a high-energy environment and help kids transition between activities without chaos.

Basic Qualifications:

• Read books, play games, and offer creative outlets like arts and crafts or music time.
• Create a calm bedtime routine when working evenings, including bath, stories, and quiet time.
• Limit screen time appropriately and provide engaging offline alternatives.
• Change diapers, assist with potty training, and teach basic hygiene and self-care skills.
• Respect family boundaries while building trust and open communication with parents.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Montessori Assistant, Childcare Manager, or Preschool Teacher.
• Willing to accompany children to parks, libraries, playdates, or appointments safely and responsibly.
• Values empathy, patience, and trustworthiness in every interaction with children.
• Thrives in home-based, child-centered settings where flexibility and warmth are essential.
• Capable of maintaining a log or summary of daily activities for parental review.
