We’re offering an opportunity to become a Tailor — no experience required, just a passion for clothes, precision, and hands-on work. No experience? You’ll begin by supporting experienced tailors with small but important tasks like organizing tools and preparing garments. You’ll observe skilled tailors as they work on suits, dresses, coats, and custom pieces. In your first weeks, you’ll help with simple alterations like hemming, adjusting lengths, and reattaching buttons. You’ll observe experienced tailors as they work on suits, dresses, uniforms, and more — and slowly begin to try it yourself. We’ll show you how to follow alteration notes, pin properly, and avoid common mistakes in cutting and sewing. You’ll discover how every fabric has its own personality — and how tailors work with each one carefully. You’ll also assist with fittings, where you’ll see how small tweaks dramatically improve comfort and look.

Basic Qualifications:

• Adhere to deadlines, especially for weddings, events, or seasonal wardrobe needs—meeting expectations with care and precision.
• Ultimately, craft clothes that feel personal, fit flawlessly, and bring confidence to every client who wears them.
• Ensure all garments meet quality standards before delivery—your work represents both skill and service.
• Collaborate with bridal boutiques, fashion designers, dry cleaners, or retail stores for bulk alteration services or specialty fittings.
• Stay updated on current fashion trends, tailoring techniques, and fabric technologies to offer modern and functional solutions.

Preferred:

• Understands garment construction and how to disassemble and rebuild pieces for a better fit.
• Comfortable interacting with customers for fittings and design consultations in a professional manner.
• Experience working in a tailor shop, fashion studio, dry cleaner, or costume department.
• Proficient in sewing, altering, and repairing garments by hand or using industrial sewing machines.
• Experience working with various fabrics including cotton, wool, silk, denim, and synthetic blends.
