We’re looking for a Kindergarten Teacher Trainee who believes learning starts with play, exploration, and joy — no formal teaching experience required. If you’ve ever comforted a crying child, sparked a smile with a story, or helped tie tiny shoes, you already have the heart for this role. In this role, you’ll show boys and girls alike that care, respect, and gentleness are qualities anyone can lead with. You’ll assist lead teachers in creating a structured, supportive environment where children feel safe to explore and learn. You’ll learn how to offer gentle guidance during meltdowns, support communication with visuals or gestures, and celebrate tiny but powerful breakthroughs. Expect finger paint on your hands, stickers on your clothes, and a room that rarely stays quiet for long — in the best way. Expect to read stories aloud, build with blocks, tie shoelaces, and offer steady reassurance when emotions run high. You’ll help with snack time, nap time, and all the in-between moments that build trust and routine. We’ll teach you how to track progress, communicate with parents, and adjust to each child’s learning style.

Basic Qualifications:

• Encourage creativity through storytelling, music, drawing, and imaginative play.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, administrators, and other staff to support each child.
• Keep the classroom tidy, organized, and stocked with learning materials.
• Host class events like performances, reading days, or family picnics to build community.
• Observe each child’s development and document key moments or concerns.

Preferred:

• Understands how to support early literacy, numeracy, and motor skill development.
• Capable of managing group activities and encouraging participation from quieter children.
• Experience working with young children in a classroom, daycare, or early childhood setting.
• Able to support classroom routines such as snack time, clean-up, transitions, and outdoor play.
• Able to create structured lesson plans that include storytelling, play, music, and hands-on activities.
