Description:

We’re hiring a skilled Translation Specialist to join our team and provide accurate and culturally relevant translations for a variety of content. You’ll be responsible for translating written documents, audio, and video content from one language to another, ensuring meaning is preserved. You’ll collaborate with other departments to ensure translations are aligned with company messaging and industry standards. You’ll ensure that all translations maintain the tone, style, and context of the original content while making it culturally appropriate. You’ll manage and prioritize multiple translation projects, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high quality. You’ll provide proofreading and editing services, ensuring that all translations are error-free and meet client requirements. You’ll handle technical, legal, and general translations, requiring both linguistic expertise and subject-specific knowledge. You’ll stay up-to-date with industry trends, translation best practices, and technological advancements to improve your work.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work with a wide range of materials including websites, marketing copy, technical manuals, legal documents, subtitles, and app interfaces.
• Respect deadlines and deliver high-quality translations on time, even under tight turnaround conditions.
• Deliver translations in the required formats (Word, Excel, HTML, SRT, etc.) while preserving layout and structure.
• Collaborate with editors, proofreaders, or QA reviewers to refine and finalize translated content.
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar, flow, and consistency—delivering polished, professional results.

Preferred:

• Excited to help individuals and organizations reach new audiences through language.
• Pays close attention to nuances, idioms, and phrasing in both source and target languages.
• Knows how to prioritize meaning and readability over literal translation when appropriate.
• Experience working with bilingual documents, spreadsheets, or presentations.
• Familiar with CAT tools like SDL Trados, Smartcat, or Memsource is a plus.

You’ll communicate with clients to clarify any ambiguous content and ensure translations are tailored to their needs. You’ll contribute to maintaining a high standard of translation quality by reviewing and refining other team members' work. You’ll collaborate with other translators to provide the best possible translations while ensuring cohesive team output.
