Description:

We’re seeking a Medical Registrar Intern who wants to contribute to patient care by ensuring that all administrative processes run smoothly and professionally. You’ll be one of the first smiles patients see, greeting them with kindness and helping ease any nerves or confusion about their visit. You’ll assist with checking in patients, confirming their personal and medical details, and ensuring everything is correctly entered into the system. You’ll learn how to keep patient records updated, from appointment history to medical notes, while protecting patient privacy at all times. You’ll support front desk staff by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and directing patient queries with professionalism. You will support the coordination of communication between patients, departments, and medical personnel. You will learn how to manage front desk responsibilities, including call handling, visitor flow, and responding to general inquiries. You’ll be taught how to explain basic procedures, give directions inside the facility, or escalate clinical questions to medical staff. You’ll monitor waiting room activity and help keep delays managed through polite and efficient updates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Attend educational sessions, case reviews, or grand rounds to support continuous learning.
  • Act as a role model for professionalism, clinical judgment, and teamwork on the ward.
  • Document all clinical decisions and patient progress accurately in the medical record.
  • Keep up with current medical literature and apply evidence-based practices in real time.
  • Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement projects, or research activities when possible.

Preferred:

  • Willing to teach, mentor, and provide feedback to medical students and junior staff.
  • Can manage complex cases, escalate appropriately, and contribute to morbidity/mortality reviews.
  • Experience working in hospital settings with direct responsibility for patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Pays close attention to patient history, comorbidities, and risk factors in both acute and chronic care.
  • Comfortable interpreting diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab results to guide clinical decisions.

Benefits:

  • We celebrate accuracy, efficiency, and kindness — not just speed.
  • You’ll be included in staff events, updates, and team decisions.
  • Structured onboarding — we guide you through systems, not throw you into chaos.
  • Positive work culture — no blame games, just real teamwork.
  • Uniforms (if required) provided and comfy — no scratchy polyester nonsense.

You’ll assist in tracking daily appointment logs, patient arrivals, and last-minute cancellations with attention to detail. You will learn to navigate high-pressure situations such as peak-hour traffic or emergency department overflow while maintaining professionalism. You’ll be part of a team that values precision, and you’ll be encouraged to ask questions and grow every week. We’ll give you feedback, mentoring, and the support you need to grow from a trainee into a trusted team member. You’ll receive structured feedback and on-the-job training so you can grow steadily in responsibility and confidence. We value punctuality, precision, and discretion — and will provide support as you grow into the role. We value accuracy, empathy, and teamwork — and we believe those skills can be taught and nurtured. If you’re committed to learning, helping others, and becoming a vital part of a healthcare team, this role is your first step.
