Description:

We’re hiring a detail-oriented Translation Specialist to join our team and ensure accurate translations across multiple languages. You’ll be responsible for translating written documents, audio, and video content from one language to another, ensuring meaning is preserved. You’ll collaborate with content creators, legal teams, and marketing teams to ensure all translations align with the brand's goals and messaging. You’ll provide timely and high-quality translations, making sure all content is consistent with the tone and intent of the original text. You’ll review and proofread translated materials to ensure they are free from errors and reflect the intended tone and style. You’ll ensure all translated content is properly formatted, taking into account industry-specific terminology and client preferences. You’ll leverage translation software and tools to streamline your workflow and maintain consistency across various projects. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple translation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet client expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Collaborate with editors, proofreaders, or QA reviewers to refine and finalize translated content.
• Review source material for errors or inconsistencies before translating—flagging any issues that could affect quality.
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar, flow, and consistency—delivering polished, professional results.
• Ensure terminology is consistent within documents, especially for industry-specific or branded content.
• Track projects, versions, and feedback using spreadsheets, Trello, or translation platforms for organized delivery.

Preferred:

• Familiar with basic localization practices for websites, apps, or digital products.
• Organized with file naming, version control, and translation tracking tools.
• Has translated for clients, agencies, or personal projects with a clear process.
• Can deliver translations in common formats like Word, Excel, Google Docs, or subtitles (.srt).
• Open to translating both short-form and long-form content across diverse topics.

You’ll provide translations for a wide range of content, including legal documents, product descriptions, and marketing copy. You’ll ensure that the final translations are contextually accurate and suitable for the target audience. You’ll ensure that your translations are localized to fit the culture, idioms, and preferences of the target language’s audience. You’ll communicate with clients to clarify any ambiguous content and ensure translations are tailored to their needs. You’ll assist in developing and maintaining translation glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency across projects. You’ll provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation workflows and processes across the team.
