Description:

We’re hiring an Emergency Locksmith to respond to urgent lockouts, break-ins, and high-priority service calls — perfect for someone who’s calm under pressure, fast with their hands, and ready to help when it matters most. You’ll respond to calls for lockouts, key replacements, broken locks, and security upgrades in homes, businesses, and vehicles. You’ll install high-security deadbolts, keyless entry systems, panic bars, closers, and master key systems across a variety of commercial sites. You’ll connect smart devices to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, set up mobile apps, and walk clients through how to use their new system. You’ll rekey locks, board up broken entries, and install new hardware on-site to restore safety immediately after incidents. You’ll be trained in managing digital locks, keypad systems, RFID access, and integration with alarm or fire exit systems. You’ll work with brands like August, Schlage, Yale, and commercial access control platforms depending on the job. You’ll rotate between scheduled maintenance, installation projects, and urgent security calls based on your weekly route. You’ll rotate between emergency calls, dealership support, and scheduled rekeys or upgrades throughout your shift.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep a well-organized toolset and mobile workshop if working in a field-service capacity.
• Install or troubleshoot access control panels, card readers, and intercom entry systems.
• Stay up to date with advances in digital locks, biometric systems, and electronic access control.
• Cut new keys, rekey existing locks, and program electronic or smart locking systems.
• Take pride in securing spaces and giving people peace of mind, one lock at a time.

Preferred:

• Background or strong interest in mechanical systems, security hardware, or precision craftsmanship.
• Experience installing, repairing, and servicing locks, deadbolts, safes, and security hardware in residential or commercial settings.
• Organized with maintaining service records, key logs, and customer documentation for security compliance.
• Capable of troubleshooting keyless entry systems and integrating locks with alarm or camera systems.
• Familiar with basic electronics, wiring, or battery replacement for digital lock systems.

You’ll keep your vehicle fully stocked with lock cylinders, tools, safety gear, and temporary hardware for after-hours repairs. You’ll follow local and national locksmith regulations, including licensing, proof-of-ownership checks, and lockout documentation. You’ll be responsible for organizing your parts inventory, lock cores, blanks, and specialty tools in your van or shop bench. You’ll receive mentoring from senior locksmiths and grow your skills across residential, automotive, and access control specialties. You’ll work independently on the road, managing dispatches and customer communication via mobile app or radio. You’ll be expected to keep a clean appearance, respect privacy, and work discreetly in sensitive environments. No prior locksmith experience required — just mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and the willingness to learn a high-demand skill.
