Description:

We’re offering a hands-on trainee position for someone who dreams of becoming a compassionate and capable elementary school teacher. As a trainee, you’ll observe real classroom dynamics, support students in their day-to-day learning, and gradually take on more responsibilities with guidance. You’ll shadow experienced teachers, observe their teaching styles, and begin to understand what effective instruction really looks like. You’ll assist in managing the classroom environment — from organizing supplies to helping with transitions between subjects. You’ll help guide classroom behavior using patience, fairness, and consistent expectations. You’ll help students stay engaged during story time, science experiments, and group discussions. You’ll learn the importance of routines, classroom boundaries, and how consistency builds trust with students. You’ll learn how to adjust to different student personalities and support those who may be struggling emotionally or academically. You’ll help monitor behavior, support emotional regulation, and step in kindly when conflict arises between students.

Basic Qualifications:

• Support students’ social and emotional development through empathy, guidance, and positive reinforcement.
• Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, activities, and observations.
• Support classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization daily.
• Maintain clear and consistent classroom routines that support focus, creativity, and behavior management.
• Encourage curiosity, collaboration, and kindness inside and outside the classroom.

Preferred:

• Values patience, consistency, and enthusiasm in the learning environment.
• Organized with lesson planning, grading, and maintaining detailed student records and portfolios.
• Thrives in energetic, creative classrooms where every day brings new opportunities to teach and grow.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Teacher, Instructional Coach, or Curriculum Developer.
• Background or passion in primary education, literacy, early childhood development, or pedagogy.
