Description:

We’re hiring a Security Guard Trainee for a shopping mall environment — perfect for someone who’s observant, approachable, and ready to keep public spaces safe and orderly. You’ll begin by learning building routines like monitoring entrances, checking visitor logs, and assisting with after-hours access requests. You’ll be trained to monitor entrances, exits, and surveillance systems, watching for any unusual or unauthorized activity. You’ll be trained to handle intercom systems, surveillance monitors, and electronic keycard access tools. You’ll learn how to write clear, concise reports on minor incidents, daily activity, and any safety concerns. You’ll help with routine walk-throughs, ensuring fire exits are clear, lights are functioning, and doors are secured. You’ll assist in monitoring noise complaints, elevator issues, or package theft reports with calm professionalism. You’ll support emergency response procedures, including evacuations, fire protocols, or calling authorities if necessary. You’ll help monitor fencing, exits, and temporary structures for safety and security risks.

Basic Qualifications:

• Remain composed and professional under pressure or during conflict situations.
• Write clear incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and fences to ensure they’re properly secured.
• Take pride in keeping people, property, and peace of mind protected every day.
• Check identification, control entry, and authorize visitors or staff according to site procedures.

Preferred:

• Able to enforce property rules, check visitor IDs, and respond to unauthorized access attempts professionally.
• Comfortable writing shift reports, incident logs, and communicating clearly with supervisors or emergency services.
• Understands the balance between enforcing rules and maintaining a calm, welcoming presence.
• Comfortable with static posts (e.g., entrances) or active patrolling roles depending on assignment.
• Valid security license or guard card (if required by local regulations) and familiarity with basic security procedures.
