Description:

We’re hiring a Cook who enjoys working in a small, close-knit kitchen — someone who’s flexible, friendly, and takes pride in turning simple ingredients into great meals. You’ll prepare meals from scratch or finish prep with precision, depending on the day’s flow and menu needs. You’ll work clean and stay organized, keeping your station stocked, sanitized, and ready for action at all times. You’ll keep your station clean, ingredients fresh, and workflow efficient no matter how busy it gets. You’ll clean as you go, keep your station neat, and help with dishes or floor cleaning when needed. You’ll communicate clearly with servers and other cooks to time dishes correctly and avoid bottlenecks during rushes. You’ll be expected to stay cool under pressure, adapt to unexpected changes, and recover fast when mistakes happen. You’ll check temps, label containers, and uphold the highest food safety and sanitation practices. You’ll follow kitchen systems while also bringing initiative — refilling, cleaning, and jumping in wherever needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sanitizing surfaces and tools.
• Train junior kitchen staff or dishwashers in prep, cleaning, or basic cooking tasks.
• Be punctual and reliable—your presence is essential to the kitchen running smoothly.
• Prepare meals according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, or managers when delays or issues arise.

Preferred:

• Willing to learn new recipes, cuisines, or dietary accommodations such as vegan, gluten-free, or allergen-aware dishes.
• Familiar with prepping for different menus including breakfast, lunch, dinner, or special events.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment under pressure during busy hours.
• Background or interest in culinary arts, hospitality, or food service.
• Can assist with batch cooking, sauces, marinades, and dressings for daily service needs.
