Description:

We’re looking for a Kindergarten Teacher Trainee — no experience needed, just patience, warmth, and a genuine love for helping children grow. If you’ve ever comforted a crying child, sparked a smile with a story, or helped tie tiny shoes, you already have the heart for this role. We’ll show you how to guide children through daily routines, encourage positive behavior, and handle little challenges with calm and care. You’ll assist lead educators in managing small groups, adapting activities, and creating calm, predictable classroom routines. You’ll learn how to offer gentle guidance during meltdowns, support communication with visuals or gestures, and celebrate tiny but powerful breakthroughs. We’ll guide you in how to redirect gently, encourage cooperation, and support children as they learn to express big feelings in small bodies. Expect crayons on the floor, tiny voices calling your name, and moments of pure joy when something finally clicks for a child. We’ll teach you how to observe behavior not as mischief, but as communication — and how to respond with understanding, not judgment. Children will look to you not just for help, but for example — and you’ll grow into that responsibility over time.

Basic Qualifications:

• Plan fun, age-appropriate activities that help kids develop early reading, math, and social skills.
• Stay updated with early education best practices and child development research.
• Encourage creativity through storytelling, music, drawing, and imaginative play.
• Be present, observant, and ready to meet kids at their level—emotionally and intellectually.
• Encourage curiosity by welcoming questions—even the funny or strange ones.

Preferred:

• Open to planning seasonal events, performances, or classroom celebrations.
• Comfortable managing a classroom environment with patience, positivity, and consistency.
• Able to identify early signs of learning difficulties and communicate them to specialists or parents.
• Background or formal education in early childhood education, child psychology, or pedagogy.
• Capable of managing group activities and encouraging participation from quieter children.
