Description:

We’re hiring a Security Guard Trainee for a shopping mall environment — perfect for someone who’s observant, approachable, and ready to keep public spaces safe and orderly. You’ll begin by learning patrol routes throughout the mall, including entrances, exits, service corridors, and emergency exits. You’ll be trained to monitor entrances, exits, and surveillance systems, watching for any unusual or unauthorized activity. You’ll assist in checking security cameras, reporting maintenance issues, and helping prevent theft or vandalism. You’ll support lost-and-found services, helping reunite customers with lost belongings or assisting distressed visitors. You’ll receive instruction on how to handle alarms, respond to system alerts, and reset panels when needed. You’ll help document shift reports, including building status, visitor logs, and any maintenance issues you observe during rounds. You’ll learn how to remain present, polite, and alert — even during long hours on your feet or in difficult weather conditions. You’ll wear a clean, visible uniform and carry communication tools like a radio or flashlight during all patrols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Respond quickly and calmly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies on-site.
• Support crowd control efforts during events, emergencies, or high-traffic situations.
• Take pride in keeping people, property, and peace of mind protected every day.
• Treat all individuals with respect while upholding rules and regulations without bias.
• Perform bag checks, vehicle inspections, or ID verification when assigned to high-security areas.

Preferred:

• Familiar with patrolling both interior and exterior areas during scheduled intervals.
• Pays attention to unusual activity, suspicious behavior, or safety hazards and reports incidents promptly.
• Able to enforce property rules, check visitor IDs, and respond to unauthorized access attempts professionally.
• Knows how to use two-way radios, flashlights, access control panels, and CCTV monitors.
• Valid security license or guard card (if required by local regulations) and familiarity with basic security procedures.
