Description:

We’re hiring a detail-oriented Translation Specialist to join our team and ensure accurate translations across multiple languages. You’ll be responsible for translating documents, websites, and marketing materials while maintaining the integrity of the original message. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure all translations meet client requirements and are aligned with their brand voice. You’ll perform thorough quality checks, proofreading and editing translations to ensure they are free of errors and culturally appropriate. You’ll manage the translation process from start to finish, handling everything from initial translation to final review. You’ll collaborate with other team members to maintain consistency in terminology across projects and languages. You’ll handle technical, legal, and general translations, requiring both linguistic expertise and subject-specific knowledge. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple translation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet client expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Deliver translations in the required formats (Word, Excel, HTML, SRT, etc.) while preserving layout and structure.
• Ensure terminology is consistent within documents, especially for industry-specific or branded content.
• Respect deadlines and deliver high-quality translations on time, even under tight turnaround conditions.
• Use CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ, Smartcat) or translation memory systems to improve efficiency and maintain terminology.
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar, flow, and consistency—delivering polished, professional results.

Preferred:

• Has translated for clients, agencies, or personal projects with a clear process.
• Able to proofread and edit own work before submission.
• Willing to follow style guides and formatting instructions for consistency.
• Able to work with glossaries, translation memories, and client-specific terminology.
• Excited to help individuals and organizations reach new audiences through language.

You’ll ensure that your translations are localized to fit the culture, idioms, and preferences of the target language’s audience. You’ll communicate with clients to clarify any ambiguous content and ensure translations are tailored to their needs. You’ll collaborate with other translators and editors to review translations and ensure consistency across different language versions. You’ll work with both internal teams and external partners to ensure all translated content aligns with business objectives.
