Description:

We’re hiring a Caregiver for overnight shifts — perfect for someone who’s calm, dependable, and committed to ensuring clients are safe and comfortable while they rest. You’ll monitor clients through the night, providing assistance as needed with repositioning, bathroom trips, or anxiety relief. You’ll prepare light meals, help manage special diets, and ensure regular hydration throughout the day. You’ll work alongside nurses, hospice teams, and family members to honor the individual’s wishes and care plan. You’ll help with walking, transferring from bed or chair, and using walkers or canes safely around the home. You’ll be trained to recognize signs of pain, restlessness, or decline and respond promptly with grace and alertness. You’ll collaborate with parents, therapists, and educators to maintain consistency and reinforce goals from home to school. You’ll monitor cognitive changes gently, helping clients stay mentally active with conversation and light activities. You’ll support families by offering updates, reassurance, or simply relieving them for a few hours of rest.

Basic Qualifications:

• Respond calmly and responsibly in emergencies, calling for help when necessary.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Administer medications according to schedule and keep accurate records if required.
• Adapt to different personalities, medical conditions, and family dynamics with patience.
• Ensure a safe living environment by preventing falls, hazards, or medication mismanagement.

Preferred:

• Organized with tracking routines, monitoring behaviors, and documenting changes for healthcare providers or family members.
• Comfortable reminding clients to take medication and observing for changes in physical or emotional well-being.
• Familiar with safe techniques for transferring, repositioning, and using mobility aids such as walkers or wheelchairs.
• Comfortable using home care documentation tools or apps for shift updates and reporting.
• Willing to perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean living environment.
