Description:
We’re hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician who knows that accuracy isn’t optional — it’s everything. You’ll handle blood, tissue, and fluid samples with care, focus, and full responsibility for what comes next. Your primary focus will be learning the correct procedures for sample collection support, labeling, storage, and controlled transfer within the laboratory chain of custody. You’ll assist in handling real patient samples — blood, urine, swabs — and learn the importance of accuracy at every stage. You’ll follow protocols to the letter, calibrate equipment daily, and document results with clinical discipline. g. You’ll check your work twice, catch what others miss, and raise a hand when something feels off. You’ll be expected to log every step of your workflow, track time precisely, and note anomalies clearly during shadowed procedures. You’ll learn to handle human error, avoid contamination, and recover with confidence when something doesn’t go as planned. Documentation will be a core part of your duties — not just recording results, but understanding how documentation builds audit trails.
Basic Qualifications:
- Collect, prepare, and analyze biological specimens such as blood, urine, tissue, or swabs following strict laboratory protocols.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment including microscopes, centrifuges, analyzers, and spectrophotometers to ensure accurate test results.
- Respect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and institutional privacy policies when accessing or transmitting sensitive data.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment—properly disposing of waste and maintaining sterile workstations.
- Maintain organized records of test batches, equipment logs, reagent inventory, and maintenance schedules for audits and inspections.
Preferred:
- Capable of handling time-sensitive and high-volume workloads with precision.
- Open to continuous training and staying updated with new testing methods and technologies.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures, safety protocols, and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Pays close attention to accuracy, repeatability, and turnaround time when conducting tests.
- Experience performing routine laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, or clinical chemistry.
Benefits:
- Every correct result, flagged anomaly, or clean run you contribute helps save lives quietly but powerfully.
- Team rituals include safety huddles, “weirdest specimen of the week,” and lab wins boards that don’t forget the quiet work.
- We maintain strict safety protocols, consistent scheduling, and real-time communication — your time and health matter.
- Work in a modern, well-equipped lab where your accuracy directly supports diagnostics and patient care.
- You’ll have input into workflow design, equipment upgrades, and procedural improvements.
You’ll juggle repetition and responsibility without losing patience or letting things slide. You’ll support preparation of reagents, cleaning of equipment, and maintenance of lab cleanliness to minimize contamination risk. You’ll contribute to internal quality control programs and help your lab stay audit-ready at all times. You’ll follow every protocol because safety isn’t optional when you work this close to real life. You’ll gain respect not by knowing everything, but by showing up ready to improve, ask, repeat, and get it right. You’ll bring focus, resilience, and pride to the kind of work most people never see but everyone relies on. If you care deeply about doing things right — even when no one’s watching — you’ll fit right in with us. You’ll begin as an observer, but you’re expected to grow into a contributor — someone trusted to perform basic procedures to protocol. If you’re ready to build serious technical habits, work under strict standards, and grow in a professional medical lab setting — we’re ready to train you properly.
