Description:

We’re hiring a skilled Translation Specialist to join our team and provide accurate and culturally relevant translations for a variety of content. You’ll be responsible for translating written content across different industries, maintaining accuracy and cultural relevance. You’ll collaborate with other departments to ensure translations are aligned with company messaging and industry standards. You’ll provide timely and high-quality translations, making sure all content is consistent with the tone and intent of the original text. You’ll ensure that your translations are clear, concise, and free of errors, making them suitable for the target audience. You’ll use translation software and tools to increase efficiency while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. You’ll assist in developing and maintaining translation glossaries, style guides, and reference materials for ongoing use. You’ll stay up-to-date with industry trends, translation best practices, and technological advancements to improve your work.

Basic Qualifications:

• Review source material for errors or inconsistencies before translating—flagging any issues that could affect quality.
• Assist with subtitle syncing, transcription, or voiceover scripting when part of multimedia translation projects.
• Maintain glossaries or term bases for recurring projects or clients to ensure consistency across translations.
• Handle confidential documents responsibly, following any required NDAs or data protection guidelines.
• Communicate with clients or project managers to clarify context, resolve ambiguities, and meet formatting or delivery expectations.

Preferred:

• Familiar with CAT tools like SDL Trados, Smartcat, or Memsource is a plus.
• Wants to grow into roles like Localization Specialist, Editor, or Project Manager.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and receiving feedback from editors.
• Capable of handling tight deadlines while maintaining high linguistic quality.
• Comfortable researching industry-specific terms to ensure accuracy and clarity.

You’ll participate in quality control processes, reviewing and refining translations to meet client expectations. You’ll assist in developing and maintaining translation glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency across projects. You’ll work with both internal teams and external partners to ensure all translated content aligns with business objectives.
