Description:

We’re hiring a Loader Trainee to join our food distribution warehouse, where speed, cleanliness, and care are essential to keeping stores and restaurants fully stocked. You’ll assist in unloading delivery trucks filled with construction materials like cement, bricks, tools, pipes, and lumber. You’ll be taught how to lift and carry heavy items safely, using proper posture and teamwork for awkward or oversized loads. You’ll help move materials across the site to where they’re needed — sometimes on foot, sometimes with wheelbarrows or dollies. You’ll help stack and wrap pallets, making sure fragile or crushable goods like bread, eggs, or fruit are packed with care. You’ll gain awareness of heavy machinery zones, learning where to walk, when to wait, and how to signal for movement. You’ll support loading trucks for early deliveries, matching items to store orders and verifying quantities against pick lists. You’ll be taught how to use pallet jacks, floor scales, and scanners to manage goods quickly and accurately. You’ll rotate between general labor tasks like sweeping, collecting scrap, or assisting with tool movement between teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stack items efficiently and securely to prevent shifting or falling during transport.
• Follow company procedures and safety protocols at all times—no shortcuts.
• Follow instructions from supervisors clearly and ask when something is unclear.
• Verify shipment contents against packing slips, manifests, or digital records.
• Label and organize items correctly before they are loaded for shipping or storage.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Forklift Operator, Loading Supervisor, or Dock Coordinator.
• Able to work night shifts, early mornings, weekends, or overtime depending on shipping schedules.
• Enjoys hands-on, movement-based work and being part of a results-driven logistics team.
• Capable of reading packing slips, load lists, or digital scanners to confirm accuracy of shipments.
• Understands how to balance speed and caution to maintain safety and productivity.
