Description:

We’re looking for a visionary Film Director who knows how to transform a script into a living, breathing cinematic experience — someone who leads with clarity, creativity, and emotional intelligence. You’ll be responsible for shaping the creative direction of each production, guiding it from early ideation through final delivery. You’ll work closely with screenwriters, producers, and cinematographers to ensure narrative, pacing, and style are aligned from day one. You’ll direct casting, lead rehearsals, and bring out layered performances that feel honest, surprising, and fully human. You’ll make critical decisions around camera movement, blocking, and framing to maximize narrative and visual impact. We’re looking for someone who can make bold aesthetic choices while staying grounded in human connection. You’ll be involved in casting, location scouting, shot listing, and building a cohesive creative team around the project. You’ll work hands-on in pre-production — storyboarding, selecting locations, assembling crew, and aligning artistic departments. Post-production will include close work with editors and sound designers to ensure that pacing, tone, and structure stay aligned with your vision.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain a clear vision while staying flexible enough to adapt to unexpected moments of brilliance.
• Represent the film at festivals, press events, and in promotional interviews when needed.
• Make split-second creative choices on set when unforeseen challenges arise.
• Push creative boundaries without losing sight of the story’s emotional truth.
• Provide detailed feedback during filming and post-production to shape the final result.

Preferred:

• Comfortable pitching concepts, securing funding, or working within client or studio guidelines.
• Able to translate scripts and storyboards into visual scenes with emotional impact and technical precision.
• Pays attention to casting, performance direction, and building authentic on-screen chemistry.
• Capable of giving detailed creative notes to editors, composers, and colorists during post.
• Understands how to manage tone, continuity, and visual coherence across a full-length or episodic production.
